Have you ever had issues with copyright or distribution when sharing or selling prints of game characters? How do you handle that legally?

Yeah, I’ve run into copyright concerns before, especially when I tried sharing prints of iconic game characters on Etsy. A few listings got flagged pretty fast, so I learned to focus on original fan art or heavy modifications that clearly fall under transformative use. That’s when I realized some of the best 3d printable objects come from independent artists who design inspired-by pieces without ripping official assets. Now I always check the license on every file I sell or give away, and if a design uses a trademarked name or logo, I steer clear. For personal prints, I don’t worry much, but distribution is another game. I’d say stick to platforms that require proof of rights or build your own models from scratch if you want to stay safe long term.
